About Grant and Livingston Marine
Engineers James Grant and William Livingston founded the company in 1920. It subsequently passed to theFawkes family, who have run Grant & Livingston Ltd continually for four generations. Grant & Livingston started out building workboats, lifeboats and barges. With the development of its latest project, the Phoenix 58, the company is expanding and going back to its roots by specializing in this field once more.
During 2005, the fourth generation of the Fawkes family, Managing Director Malcolm's son Duncan, joined the business. A qualified Naval Architect, Duncan has had a highly successful career in the yacht building/design industry. He is an Incorporated Engineer and a member of The Royal Institute of Naval Architects. Duncan decided to use his experience of design within the super yacht industry to develop a high quality, contemporary narrow boat for the next generation of inland waterway users.
From this the Phoenix 58 was born; a narrow boat for the discerning owner who desires a modern, stylish and luxurious vessel to cruise the inland waterways.
